AMSA is the largest national medical student organization in the U.S.
This large membership allows AMSA to use its influence to enact legislative change on behalf of all medical students. Additionally, the leadership of AMSA works very hard to bring medical students benefits, services, and opportunities not available in the traditional medical curriculum (at both the regional and national level). By attending conventions and other service events, students have opportunities to network with other students and physicians from all over the country. Additionally, AMSA offers medical students leadership opportunities and real avenues to influence the continual development of the U.S Health Care System.
